SMC Presents a Webinar On Human Trafficking
Thursday, January 15, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (CST)
Description
The Nebraska State Patrol will be presenting an in-depth session on Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), highlighting the critical role the trucking industry plays in identifying and reporting human trafficking. Their presentation will walk attendees through how traffickers operate, the common indicators drivers may encounter on the road, and real examples of successful interventions made possible through industry awareness. The goal is to empower drivers, dispatchers, and safety personnel with the confidence and knowledge to recognize suspicious situations and respond appropriately.
This training underscores the unique position professional drivers hold as the eyes and ears of America’s highways. By partnering with TAT, the Nebraska State Patrol aims to strengthen statewide efforts to protect victims, support law enforcement, and reduce trafficking activity across transportation networks.
